- Justice for Howard Dean and what noises we can make at a press conference!
- Here we go again. "I never liked him." "He always seemed off." "I could tell he was a creep." This shit is a form of victim blaming.
- I've lived a very weird life. And a very low number is what I have to show for it for 2 completely separate eras and reasons. I didn't ask for this. I am a 40-something middle class credit union loan officer who just wants to dance at punk shows with my friends.
- Right now, I am extremely thankful for the friends who have had my back since the late 90s and the ones I have met along the way, trustworthy enough for me to be open. And all of you I worked with on things like harassment policies for conferences, causing meltdowns and telling on us to Epstein.
- All those times we repeatedly watched Fight Club, I thought you understood it. Did you? Or did you change? Did the money do this?
- I bought $100 of bitcoin several years ago just to try to understand. (I work in a financial institution) The highest it went was about $180 I just sold it all for $136. I'm done.
- Take a few mins to read this. As an AuDHD woman, I immediately recognized myself in Aliya Rahman. How she describes the inability to parse out language through noise, reading lips, taking a few moments to understand spoken language... it's familiar. And it's not okay to treat ANYONE like this.
- I spoke with Aliya Rahman, the autistic woman whom ICE ripped out of her car, about her experience of being in a viral video, what she experienced in detention and why she thinks we might be in bigger trouble in the future. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...
- She speaks here with @ericmgarcia.bsky.social, an autistic journalist, who kicks DC's ass just about every day.
- This poor man... fighting with his life to not break kayfabe.
- Even if you aren't in there, you're an enabler. (Yes, I'm talking to a specific person.)
- Regulations exist because accountability is important. "Privacy" doesn't outweigh the real world harms of conducting business this way. Anyone who thought otherwise doesn't have a realistic view of humans and corruption.
- I wouldn't normally tell someone to read the comments... but the WaPo comments on their site are amazing. The people calling out the paper, Bezos, and this administration FAAAAAAR outweigh anything else said. Granted - when everyone's subs run out, we're all gone.
