- I've been very lucky to have the opportunity to learn more about my family in recent months. A stroke of luck, and help from the local black history museum has given me a look into a part of my family that I thought was lost to time.
- I think it's really important to recognize just how many people who are black or who have black ancestry can relate to not knowing their family history. The same goes for many marginalized, colonized, or formerly enslaved people.
- It's not lost on me that we still live in a world where this is happening. Protect yourself, and protect your neighbours.
