- Uisce Eireann have submitted a planning application to build a Pipeline from the Parteen Basin at Birdhill 172 km to Peamount in Dublin passing over 500 farms en route. The cost an estimated €10.4 billion euro. SACs and habitats will be severely affected.
- @irishenvnet.bsky.social I am a member of River Shannon Protection Alliance. Uisce Éireann applied for planning to pipe 2% of flow from the Shannon south of Lough Derg to Dublin. The flow here is low and this will severely affect SACs and area covered by Natura 2000.
