What are the wildest video game promo events you can remember?
Things like game reviewers being brought out to the gun range to shoot a .50 cal or SAW.
Jan 22, 2026 02:26I have a scrambled memory of being told that some studio took reviewers out to a racetrack and let them ride a couple laps in the passenger seat of a NASCAR with a professional driver before sitting them down to play Need for Speed or something.
There's some amazing stories in the replies and quotes, but it's just making me think "I should hire booth babes for my PAX table."
But then, like, empower them to impersonate me, sign autographs as me, and just straight up tell lies about my channel. I think everyone would have fun with that one.
