Berghof Foundation
We believe violent conflict is not inevitable. We’re an independent, non-profit organisation creating space for peace around the world.
- In “Peace and Wars", author Cora Bieß offers a non-fiction book for young readers to help them understand conflicts and peace. @ravensburgertcg.bsky.social interviewed our Head of #PeaceEducation and advisor to the book Anne Kruck, who highlights how this book helps with navigating disagreements.

- "We live in very uncertain times. But instead of being pessimistic, we should look for the opportunities and seek new alliances to tackle the same problems together." Our @doctorchris.bsky.social challenges how we think about #peacebuilding today with CHS at #QMF2025 and Doha Forum by:
- ✅Supporting insider mediators who get too little recognition. ✅Leveraging smaller mediation actors alongside larger institutions and finding complementary approaches. ✅Embracing deal-making as a tool for positive change rather than avoiding it. 📺: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBN6...
- “If climate finance can’t operate where impacts are most severe, then the system is not failing accidentally but by design.” Our @nazaninemoshiri.bsky.social on why #COP30 outcomes on climate finance still fall short for conflict-affected settings at Surge Africa Org and @enpax.bsky.social's event.
- She explains that because climate finance systems are still designed for stability, the most vulnerable countries are often left last in line for support. Without political support to change how climate finance works, new ideas and lessons will stay on the sidelines.
- What makes justice transformative? At the Global Learning Hub for #TransitionalJustice and Reconciliation conference, experts shared lessons and recommendations on survivor agency, community trust, cultural sensitivity and sustained partnerships. 👉: brnw.ch/21wZDZ9
- Our comms colleague Florian Lüdtke joined an exchange in #Brussels with civil society and #peacebuilding organisations working on conflict prevention hosted by @eplo-network.bsky.social on how technology can support peacebuilding. Such exchanges are vital for strengthening policy and practice.
- In #Bern, our colleagues Luxshi Vimalarajah, Carla Schraml and Rasmus Bellmer led a dynamic workshop on #InsiderMediation for the Peace & Human Rights Division of the Swiss FDFA. Insider mediators working across a range of conflicts took part, engaging in rich exchanges on practice and experiences.
- They also discussed the very real risks and challenges faced by insider mediators in their work. We extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their openness, thoughtful contributions and commitment to continued learning and collaboration.
