Human, woman, vegetarian, humanist, spinster, socialist (probably) and social scientist (hopefully).
Love people, food, boxing, coffee, kink, thinking.
Hate bigots, tax-free wealth, gambling and microwaves that don't stop beeping when you open the door.
- A universal in anthropology is ritual- something we do that seems unrelated to outcome. I said I love 'Frankie,' speaking of Frank Sinatra. 'Frankie' is also a disdained family acquaintance. I was repulsed. I washed my mouth out with soap. Not for dental reasons, but for saying the un-recant-able.
- RE anthropology and humanhood. We have opinions, politics, ethics and preferential engagement with those of our ilk. These constructs are so universal, but why? How can all* of us have a sense of morality and justice and an ought world, while none* of us have an identical subset of views? What fun.
- Infantile tyrant.
- The fact that this is a post from the President of the United States is inconceivable. I have my pre-Trump days filter on and it's just inconceivable. How is this not satire.
