- Check out this new publication using data from the GIP and our Mannheim Corona Study!
- We’re happy to announce that we’ve successfully recruited a refreshment sample for the GIP study! 📊🎉 We’re excited to welcome 1,115 new panel members, bringing us to over 4,000 completed interviews per wave.
- 📢Did you know? You can submit questions for your own academic survey project to the GIP — and receive high-quality data just four weeks after fieldwork ends📈 www.uni-mannheim.de/gip/fragen-i...
- Time to celebrate another milestone! The GIP has just completed its 80th wave. Here’s to many more! 🎉📊 May the next waves be just as insightful and inspiring.
- For those who didn’t catch it:🚨 We’ve released 3 additional panel waves via @GESIS, bringing the total to 71 waves of survey data. Spanning Sep 2012–May 2024, the GIP dataset is fully accessible for researchers studying trends, attitudes, and social changes over more than a decade.
- Mission ‘New Recruitment’ is underway: For the 4th time in its 13-year history, the German Internet Panel is inviting new respondents. On Sept 1st, we sent out 6,753 invitation letters and we are waiting excitedly for the response!

- Our colleague, Tobias Rettig, presented important insights on panel attrition using data from the German Internet Panel at the #ESRA25. His analyses of dropout patterns and early warning indicators provide valuable insights into a key challenge in panel studies.
- Come find our colleague Benjamin Gröbe at the #ESRA25 poster session to learn about results from an experiment on questionnaire modularization. The insights have already been integrated into the GIP questionnaire design.
- Our colleague over @gesis.org, Julian Diefenbacher, is presenting insights on longitudinal nonresponse bias in probability panels at the #ESRA25 conference. GIP performs well!
