End the Duopoly!
Abolish ICE, ACAB, free Palestine, end the duopoly, trans rights are human rights (He/him) No DMs please
- Glad to hear it, although it's odd that he ever thought the FBI was a worthy profession to begin with
- This is good news and I hope other cities follow suit, but there are things our city council can control a bit closer to home that might help protect people from ICE aggression. Helping people find shelter would be good, but instead the city just keeps building anti-homeless infrastructure.
- There's a protest or vigil almost every day here in Minneapolis. Where *the hell* are they getting this "36%" figure from? They're obviously not counting the police or ICE gassing people as violent, so is it noise, broken windows, an "unlawful assembly" declaration; what? Simply ridiculous 🙄
- They're extorting the *scouts* now.
- This is a take I'm seeing a lot of on Bluesky, and yes it *is* a shitlib take. Trump's reign of terror through Minneapolis is a massive public spectacle, but the Democrats supported ICE's mission as well. The only difference is that *their* Gestapo tended to work quietly and behind closed doors.
- Trump loudly boasts of his evil, where Biden and Harris hid theirs behind buzzwords and fake smiles. The present conduct of ICE notwithstanding, it's often hard to say which one is worse.
- We're just on an endless downward slope. The Biden economy was terrible, but comfortable libs like Will Stancil posted every day about how everything was fine in spite of the fact that homelessness reached an *all time high* on Biden's watch. Now Trump and DOGE have made everything even worse.
- Are Democrats going to *do* anything, or just "call" for things?
- Here in Minnesota there's a 1,600 bed prison that ICE wants to turn into another concentration camp. So far, I haven't heard Governor Walz oppose it or even *mention* it. Some governor 🙄
- Good news, but I rather doubt this will make it any easier for lawmakers to access ICE facilities. Laws simply don't apply to ICE under this government.
- I never forgave liberals for their willingness to support a genocidal candidate, and I despise the victory lap that some Harris voters are taking now, but ICE's actions are starting to radicalize many, so I've decided to start trying to pull them left - as they say - with honey rather than vinegar.
