- #Valve #SteamOS #SteamMachine #Linux For anyone worried that Mods will be difficult to get running on the Steam Machine with it being Linux, just know that R2modman has a Linux appimage and it works great. Nexus mods is also trying to get their platform fully working on Linux this year apparently.
- #Linux #LinuxGaming The Linux community growing is great, but I'm confused when people talk about 'The Year of Linux Desktop'. People speculate that it will happen every year, but no one defines what the threshold is. What all do you think needs to happen for that "Year of Linux" threshold to pass?
- For how indecisive the Linux community can be, I don't think this is a cut and dry thing. I think stars need to align, more niche drivers and use cases need support, more PC makers need options for Linux in prebuilds, more accessibility, and probably some more magic from Valve needs to happen.
- #gamedev #accessibility Games on Linux using proton ATM can't reach out to screen readers. I tested the program NVDA, nothing. I just want to recommend devs normalize having a screen reader built in the game or lines prerecorded from a screen reader or a person, because in game should work on Linux.
- NVAccess or NVDA (not Nvidia) is a free and open source screen reader for Windows if you're curious. www.nvaccess.org github.com/nvaccess/nvda
- One game that has a screen reader voice in the game and is fully blind accessible is BROK the InvestiGator made by @cowcatgames.com. You can also turn off the built in one and have the game reach out to a screen reader on your computer. Something to consider. store.steampowered.com/app/949480/B...
- Valve's SteamOS is Linux and they have a whole accessibility tab in search. I just feel that if a game says it has 'Narrated Game Menus' for accessibility, it should be considered how the accessibility feature works on Linux, especially when Valve brought and is bringing so many people to Linux.
- Grant Kirkhope is making music for a Glitch show?! Every time I hear that Grant is doing the music for something I like, it's similar to getting excited spotting a voice actor in an animation like Rob Paulsen or Jim Cummings like "OH SHIT, IT'S THE LEGEND"! Kick ass, Grant!
- Gameoverse!! youtu.be/V2Gx9icNQiA
- I just realized that if the first announcement of Beyond Good & Evil 2 was a person, it could vote. Still ain't out. WOOF
- Jungle beats will never die .....

- Dude, almost everything I'd want in the Steam Machine I can do with a docked Steam Deck. The one thing I'd want it for is as an extension of the Steam Frame VR headset. Other than that, this is my first time using the Deck docked on a big screen, and it's rad as hell.
- Dude, this game called Marble's Marbles made by @destined.com looks amazing. I'ma have to snag this beauty. store.steampowered.com/app/4137920/...
- EVERY SONG IS A TWERKING SONG! Twerk to a sad song, twerk to a happy song, twerk to intense metal music. If it's possible, it's a twerking song.
- #valve #steammachine Ay, can we not spread misinfo about the Steam Machine. The "leak" came from a site that used a placeholder price, and prices up refurbished goods. Valve sells their physical items on Steam itself. I'ma wait for Valve's words on the price rather than going "$1000?! Valve bad"
- It's such a beautiful game. Being a stopmotion nut, I had to visit a world like this in VR. It was worth it! Even my friends watching my gameplay outside of VR were in awe. Stunning and recommended!
- I hope everyone has a tolerant year. We will survive the pain out of spite.
- SurvivorVR! I'm surprised this episode is over 30 minutes. I'm gonna keep my eye on episode 2. This was surprisingly cool to watch. www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1Ld...
- This world is from @sodaraptor.bsky.social and I'm posting this to remember it for later. I love this person's games, and had no clue there was a VRChat world. This is rad as fuck! vrchat.com/home/world/w... #VRChat_world紹介 #VRChat
- A dream I had may be a really funny moment in a Harley Quinn thing. Outside there's many people dressed as Joker. Harley is offing anyone that looks like Joker in a rage. Then a clown goes WOOP WOOP. She pauses then skips him. She says "woop woop mother fuckers" as she walks off to whack more Jokers
- People shouldn't worry about the AAA gaming scene stagnating and in some areas financially flopping. Just because the bigger companies fail, doesn't mean gaming is dying. Indies and actually good AA studios are thriving and they don't need the success of big companies to justify their existence.
- I don't get the perspective that you should get the newest PC hardware or you should upgrade every couple years. If I said how old my computer is, there will be people that say "WHAT? How are you able to use that old shit?" when what I have does everything I need it to do. Older hardware rocks!
- There's also people that try to convince others that use their PC for browsing and documents to have something over a thousand dollars. Everyone has a different use case, and not all use cases need a holy shit spendy light show gaming PC. Even when I do game, Steam Deck is older hardware and rocks!
- I mean, outages happen. It's usually quick to be fixed, cuz they don't want it to happen either. I'm often someone who says "big company bad" but I don't see this as a reason. I'd rather shit on cloudflare if they're manipulative or being shitty to employees. I'm not bothered to wait for outages.
- Reposted by JongaThe Midnight Walk is going to The Game Awards! We're nominated for best VR! Give us a vote, wontcha? Do it for Potboy. ❤️ Vote here: thegameawards.com/nominees/bes...
- Steam Frame TLDR *More compute power vs Quest 3 *ARM Linux *Desktop Mode *Standalone *Open ecosystem *Micro SD card slot *Android APK support *Eye tracking *Play flatscreen games too *Easier connection to Linux PCs *No hand tracking or color passthrough, but users may add features w/ expansion port
- Weird thought. If spinal fluid goes up to clean the brain as you sleep, is that like the human version of refreshing ram on a computer?
- Why do people say that someone's mask is off when they get mad? Do people want to dehumanize so bad online that people insinuate that every other emotion expressed was disingenuous? All of the emotions together make someone deeply human, why diminish that?
- So if the Steam Frame can be used like a PC, I am very curious if people will challange themselves to use it as their main PC for a week. I'm up to try. It would be rad to test discord, browsing, 3D modeling, photo editing, coding, audio editing, documents, and whatever use cases I can think to try
- "all video games should have ___?" ACCESSIBILITY SETTINGS!!! Damn dude, more games should have blind accessibility as well. Even as a sighted person, I want to advocate for this as much as I can.
- As someone that loves tech news and videos, I'm eating like a fucking royal after the Valve hardware news!
- youtu.be/OmKrKTwtukE I am.... in love
