- i have to wonder, how much of its because we push kids to do math, just math, don't reason math, don't question math and english as math and sciences as math... and not as wonder, learning, questioning making people ask and explore?
- Crowther created a whole damn genre of game, influencing every game afterwards, because he had time to have hobbies, interests outside work, children who he actually talked to, etc. A perpetual-crunch chatbot user could simply never, they've hollowed themselves out too much.
- They're not even learning math as mathematicians do it, math made out of proofs, the kind of math a calculator doesn't help you with at all. They're learning, and proud, of the kind of math where a calculator actually helps you.
