- The state of Whistler on Feb. 3rd, 2026. 🥲 A video was posted online showcasing the lack of snow on Whistler Blackcomb. Many netizens took to the comments to argue about global warming and whether or not we will have snow in Metro Vancouver this Winter.
- City Council backed Mayor Ken Sim’s motion asking B.C. to cover costs so fans aren’t charged to watch games, with the 2010 Olympics “Live City” model as the inspiration. Concerts would still be ticketed.
- It's back to in-person work for Canada's public servants. 💼 By May 4, 2026, federal department executives will be required onsite five days a week. All other employees will be required onsite for a minimum of four days a week by July 6, 2026.
- Eight schools in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam received threats Wednesday, triggering lockdowns and “hold and secure” measures. Police say all sites were cleared and students were dismissed as normal. Coquitlam RCMP and Port Moody Police are investigating the source.
