- Calling someone weird might give you good results if you're trying to upset them.
- Hopefully you have to imagine, but how does being told that the things harming you are just distractions feel? Do you feel safe around those people? Telling someone that is minimizing their suffering, belittling their existence, and centering yourself. Is that okay? Is that what you want to do?
- It seems like many people have so low a level of tolerance to discomfort that their speech is much the same as bird shot and the crying of an infant. They fire indiscriminately, but unlike an infant, they have the tools to communicate clearly. If only they had more patience and empathy.
- This sub-post brought to you by someone defending people supposedly not saying what they mean. I'm going to assume you mean it when you tell me that the suffering of my friends and family are a distraction.

- Since we're being specific with words, I'll say that I don't think I've ever wanted soup such that any or most soup would suffice.
- Further, I don't think the liquid is very important to me considering that when I eat condensed soups, I don't add water. I guess soup is just stew that hasn't had enough water cooked off yet.🤷
- Reposted by NikoThe only truly irreversible thing a trans child is likely to do is take their own life. "What if they do something irreversible?" actually means "theyre not allowed to make a decision!" You cant undo or reverse any decision you make, you can simply change your mind later and handle the consequences

- It'd be one thing if the POVs weren't the same, quarter-baked slop over and over, but virtually everyone complaining about "echo chambers" just wants to add you onto the human centipede.
- "Taxpayer" implies the classist, racist role of "taxeater," and while it can technically be useful for modeling the behaviour of politicians—because many operate on the tax-to-spend model—it isn't even an accurate model of public spending for a government that creates its own money.

- General advice: don't listen to RFK. Health can be complicated and far too often people oversimplify to the point of error. You, likely, are not helping yourself by switching out your steak for a snack cake, and saturated fats aren't the devil. nutritionsource.hsph.harvard.edu/what-should-...
- Like yeah, you're probably better off eating more nuts and fish, avoiding foods fried in trans fats, and you should probably still listen to your doctor, maybe. The key is to know why you are doing something so that your efforts aren't undermining your goals.
- I am not a doctor, and I am an expert in nothing.
