Ian Denton
I have Grandkids - so no longer use Airport Departure Lounges.
Natural History has been the unbroken story of my life.
Watching wildlife, mostly under Dorset skies.
Wrens; Greenfinches; Little Owls; Raptors & Adders are a preoccupation.
- Wildlife caught on Telly cam....
- As the winter progresses, more & more Starlings are arriving from the Somerset Levels to feed in the pastures. Here's a flock bathing in a puddle outside the kitchen window. At times they completely block out the light as they fly past - was that a Dark Rider going by? #BirdoftheDay #BackyardBirds
- Nose to the ground, the buck follows the scent of the doe. March madness may be at the end of the trail...
- The Watchful Hare. This Hare was keeping half an eye on me as I approached the gate and was gone into the next field while I was still 25 yds away. I had been watching him for quite a while - he was carefully following the scent trail of a doe. #Hares

- Plenty of room for Andrew here - its vacant, owned by the Royal estate and there's a lease available until 2033 at least...
- youtu.be/Hsple5GpLos?... Hunting foxes happens at least twice a week in my area of North Dorset.
- Oh to be in England, now that Candlemas is here - everything to look forward to: Mad March Hares; Skylarks over territories; warbler arrivals; Adders basking out; Orchids; Nightingales and the rest... #HeraldsofSpring
- A Wiltshire church, vicarage, Lime tree and a Prime Minister at rest beneath it - can you place this scene? @iantattum.bsky.social
- The February light on the River Ebble, a chalkstream winterbourne at the height of its seasonal power, on this cold #Candlemas day. @watershed-i.bsky.social #chalkstreams #landscapes #winterbournes #Wiltshire #Downland
