- A few migrant passerines cling on as long as possible in their non-breeding grounds, my garden wintering Pallas's Gropper has been showing exceptionally well this week as it readies itself to head back north. Thick-billed Warbler still here too!
- So nice when migrants turn up in the garden - this cristatus Brown Shrike was a welcome surprise while having my lunch.
