- There was another of the Spoonflower collection requests in their second batch for which I missed the deadline but had a go at putting something together later anyway. That was "Western". Their examples included: cowpoke, desert, paisley, boots, stars, ropes.
- I reckon paisley is a bit of a stretch since it belongs to far older cultures. Whereas sack-cloth prints definitely arose as an American tradition among the invader-occupiers. But I messed around a bit and eventually figured out which palette might work with several existing designs & some new ones.
- So this is how I merged a previous contest palette (succulents - tagged as spoonflower0386) with a few old designs and a few new colourings of other old designs alongside some completely new riffs on Western motifs: www.spoonflower.com/collections/...
