- I'm fascinated by this whole "what happened to the Don't Tread on Me" people?? Guys, they mean "don't tread on ME" very literally. They don't give a shit about you or anyone else not in their immediate circle.
- Literally every single conservative position in America can be boiled down to a lack of empathy or compassion for "others." This is so true that the media actually called certain Republicans "Compassionate" conservatives, effectively admitting that conservatism is cruelty.
- You can see this beautifully in Dick Cheney's one non-evil policy position which was not supporting a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage because his daughter is gay. You think he would've given a shit if it weren't for his daughter?
