- #Febchantment Day 5 Certain people are naturally gifted with it or have heightened talent. Women, be they cis or trans, are exponentially more likely to awaken to their Axis than men are. Once a person's Axis is attuned they can begin manifesting their element. (1/3)
- Training is required to hone one's Axis and improve, otherwise their spells will be unfocused and cause greater harm to the caster. It's advised to invent a set spell instead of summoning one's element freely, this allows someone to predict the scope and outcome of their Axial use. (2/3)
- Which is to say, it's better to shout 'fireball' and throw a fireball you've created multiple times than attempt to just manifest a wad of fire on top of someone. Everyone has magical potential but like anything, there are novices and virtuosos. There also inherently magical beings. (3/3)
- This can be anything from a Dryad to Banshee to a God. Feral 'monsters' or sapient magical species, like sylphs. These beings don't exist on every version of Earth, only more mystically inclined variations. As well as the higher realms, like Fah-Drael, where magical affluence is ubiquitous. (4/3)

- Ūrjā: Magic energy of the Clay Gods of Esraidambôl. They can use their voices, as well as coordinated hand signs to reshape the world around them in ways normal magic generated by Axis never could. Hand signs are also used to cast spells by mortals, from sign language to the Hindu mudras. (2/3)
- Catalyst: Every spell uses your body like a lightning rod. Concentration, and channeling through voice, stance, and hand signs amplifies the potency of spells, and mitigates damage to the user. Objects can be used as catalysts to funnel Axis or Ki through, but require a fuse--certain minerals. (3/3)
- Way too much. She overshares constantly in her narration, and has a hard time not wearing her emotions on her sleeve. Hailey definitely goes through a major arc and matures as the book goes on. Her usual overreliance on humor dissipates. She gets mellow, a bit somber. #Writesky #Writingprompts
