- Geraldo Lunas Campos, a Cuban man imprisoned an ICE concentration camp, was murdered when guards essentially choked him to death. His name should be on our signs, too. Geraldo should be alive, with his family, in his home. Instead, our federal government murdered him because he was an immigrant.

- ICE isn't just a terror squad--it's a white supremacist death squad. ICE murdered someone today and it won't be the last murder they commit. It is imperative that state and local leaders REFUSE to cooperate in any way with ICE and put their resources into protecting immigrant communities.
- Calls to "Abolish ICE" are good and right. But we need more than that right now. State and local leaders need to do everything in their legal power to block cooperation with ICE. We need action, not just statements, to show that we will not tolerate a xenophobic gestapo in this country.

- The Board of @apiaryps.bsky.social just surprise-fired their entire staff (amazing, dedicated folks) and put the organization on "pause" because the Board hated that the staff demanded they live up to actual RJ values. I saw this firsthand working with Apiary. I'm disgusted but not surprised.
- I have never worked with an org that had a more impactful mission--strengthening the fabric of practical support for abortion seekers--and dedicated, hardworking staff that was undermined every step of the way by its Board. At this moment, to "pause" the org and fire everyone is disgraceful.
- I saw a Board member verbally abuse a staff member over text message. I heard Board members call the staff was "hostile" for wanting to live out anti-racist ideals. The Board appointed their own member as Interim ED just a few months ago, all while promising to support staff. Today, they fired them.

It's hard not to see today's mass firing of all staff and organizational pause as their ultimate goal.

- There's a long history of overlap between radical anti-abortion activists and white supremacist domestic terrorists. Radical anti-abortion activism has often served as a gateway to white supremacist terrorism. It can serve as the canary in the coal mine, yet it's so often ignored. A thread:
- John Burt, a former member of the KKK, became a rabid anti-abortion activist in the 80s. He personally recruited, radicalized, and trained Michael Griffin and Paul Hill, the two men who murdered Pensacola abortion providers Dr. David Gunn and Dr. John Bayard Britton, and clinic escort James Barrett.
- John Brockhoeft set fire to an abortion clinic in 1985, completely destroying it. He was arrested 3 years later on his way to another abortion clinic with chemicals, a pipe bomb, a half-pound of mercury, and glycerin in his car. On January 6, 2021, he stormed the Capitol with fellow MAGA terrorists.
