Hand sample and thin section of a pillow rind and interior from Palaeogene lavas of eastern Baffin island. The solidifying melt continued to exsolve gas bubbles, trapped in the pillow interior by the rind. #ThinsectionThursday #BaffinIsland #Basalt #Geology
