- Part 2 When the eggs are laid in a host each one is only about the size of a blueberry, but Ghost knows over the next six months as he gestates them through winter they will grow exponentially to the size of grapefruits. Ghost is a big fellla he knows he can hide his expanding belly for a while.
- but in those last 1-2 months hes gonna be fit to burst and there wont be any hiding of that belly. The other issue would be where to give birth, preferably he would wade into the water and be held by Soap while he delivered their young but he also knows that while mer newborns fend for themselves
- The conservationists were hoping to keep any babies Soap sired in the center for a while until they got big enough that their chances of surviving on their own were decent. best case scenario Ghost gives birth in the ocean but the infants stay near long enough to be noticed and caught by them.

- They get close over sometime and all of Ghost's colleague can see it. As Soap's breeding season comes up they try to coax him to breed, but like previous years have absolutly no success. This is particularly frustrating in that Soap's species don't need to breed with their own kind.
- Soap's Species lay around a dozen small eggs into a host. The eggs then painlessly burrow into the organ walls and absorb a small amount the host DNA it can use to ensure genetic diversity. After incubation the eggs make their way out of the organ walls and dissolve and the babies are born.
