My good pans have been packed up, but that won't keep Starzzy or I from preparing a warm lunch for our friends!
Starzzy argued that because there's no grill involved, this shouldn't be called a grilled cheese sandwich; this is a "cheese toasty." I'll allow the brief name change because it's cute.

Starzzy added shredded cheese once the soup was done.

Jimmingbird, Starzzy, Stede and I had just enough room to enjoy lunch at the table.
No hummingbird can resist sweet red liquids, not even Jimmingbird!
Stede politely asked for a napkin, so I gave him one to tuck into his shirt. He didn't want to get crumbs on his hands, so he only ate the soup.

godddddd yeah. mouth watering at the concept. i personally go for a sourdough bc thats what we tend to have but if i had texas toast the texture of that just works so so well oughg need !! i also always throw dried oregano in there
