- Reposted by shoesnsocksIf you want to FINALLY watch Scott Bessent get pinned down on specifics about the illegal money laundering operation being conducted by the Trump admin from someone who knows WTF he’s talking about, this clip is your chance. Bessent gets destroyed.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksGreat work by Greg Sargent. We are, right now, deciding whether we want to be a land of giant concentration camps and ethnic cleanings. newrepublic.com/article/2060...
- Reposted by shoesnsocksTo put it another way: Jeff Bezos could easily ensure there are no staff cuts at The Washington Post for the next decade, and he'd still have more than $249B in net worth left over.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksThere are no atheists in foxholes.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksIt seems that the proclivity toward serious criminality (felonies) is far higher among ICE and CBP agents than among immigrants taken as a whole. Stats on this subject are persistent and offer the same results.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksDespite the Trump administration's gaslighting, only 22% of voters think the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti was justified — including only 16% of Independents — according to a new Quinnipiac poll.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksExclusive: The top Democrat on a House committee overseeing U.S.-China competition has launched a probe into a $500 million investment by an Abu Dhabi royal in a Trump family cryptocurrency company.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksThis entire thread, and also this: don't do Bannon's work for him
- Reposted by shoesnsocksSitting U.S. senators don't make letters such as this one public unless they feel a paper trail is needed to inform the public. Not great. Really not great. h/t Sahil Kapur
- Reposted by shoesnsocksI hope every Democratic member of the House and Senate reads this and factors it into whatever funding bill gets agreed to. We have seen what ICE can do to U.S. Citizens in the streets, imagine what they will do at the polls. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
- Reposted by shoesnsocksTrump's "Gold Card" scheme sells visas to the highest bidder! What happened to the land of opportunity? It's not just unAmerican, it's ILLEGAL One rule for working families ... Another for oligarchs More👇 on why this case matters -TN
- Reposted by shoesnsocksSo the “elected” President with his elected majority House and Senate says they have to takeover elections because Dems cheat. Make that argument make sense.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksMoulton: This is state-sponsored terror. This is what you would expect to see in North Korea or Iran or the old Soviet Union. We’ve got to crack down on the government before they crack down on the American people.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksSwalwell: The guy said he would cut prices, and instead he’s killing people—and I’m not signing off on that.
- Reposted by shoesnsockssenators only do this when they're in extreme distress

- Reposted by shoesnsocksGuys they are really, really not winning It sucks what they’re doing to our country, and my city especially God only knows how much damage they’ll do before they’re stopped, much of it irreversible But they are very much not winning
- Reposted by shoesnsocksABSOLUTELY NOT. Do not bs us on this. Don’t even think about it. Not one single day of an extension.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksI don’t like this

- NEWS Elon Musk and others LOSE their bid to duck depositions in DOGE litigation. Judge doubts protections for "high-ranking government officials" for multiple reasons. It's unclear they ever had that status, and Musk "left government service." Doc buff.ly/uhpSOTz
- Reposted by shoesnsocksone of my strongest beliefs is that we're in our situation right now bc some of the most prominent talking heads (e.g. joe rogan, andrew schulz) are learning about politics in their 40s and 50s, instead of their teens and early 20s, and we have to go along for the ride as they learn basic things
- Reposted by shoesnsocksTotally forgot to add this but someone mentioned how eerie it is that a train track is running near the area and it actually runs directly behind the proposed concentration camp. This video is from the parking lot:
- Reposted by shoesnsocksThis is brilliant. I'm so grateful for this testimony. I've transcribed it to use in letters I'm writing. Sharing the full transcription here (see alt text to copy/paste it):

- Reposted by shoesnsocksCorrect. Re the final line: Whole governments shouldn't be at one man's whim, either.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksIt’s hard to put into perspective how truly massive the warehouse is that was recently sold by the Rockefeller Group to the Department of Homeland Security for $70 million to build a concentration camp in Surprise, AZ. Across the street is a huge neighborhood and a school. It’s 400,000-square-feet.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksHCR “Haitian TPS holders pay $1.3 billion a year in taxes”; which is about $1.3 billion more than trump paid in 5 years. #trumpsucks
- Reposted by shoesnsocksinstead of answering questions from Democratic House members, Bessent is consulting with notes on a piece of paper his team has prepared that contains political hits on them
- Reposted by shoesnsocksI don’t believe Tom Homan. I think this is a ploy to get @democrats.senate.gov to fund DHS. They lied about deescalation last week and I don’t believe a word the Cava Czar says.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksFolks, every single video you've seen on here (or anywhere online) of local law enforcement arresting ICE is fake. They're all AI-generated. They're not real. I know they may look real to you, but they're not. Please, for the love of all that's good, stop sharing these videos.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksFolks: This is important. SHEAR—the Society for Historians of the Early American Republic (a GREAT organization)—is tracking examples of the regime erasing history. More at the link below.

- Reposted by shoesnsocksAnd just to add: it is possible to feed or help thousands without EVER posting about it on social media. It’s called building relationships of trust and it has been done in this work for centuries. Do you think Harriet Tubman took out an ad in the paper?!
- Reposted by shoesnsocksAnd just so people understand it: Flock cameras are often available on open sites on the internet. ICE/CBP don’t even need a warrant and Flock is notoriously hackable regardless. If this worries you, tell your city council to take down their Flock cameras. This effort has met success lately.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksI really think folks don’t have any idea what we’re dealing with. We are living in a surveillance state. Rapid response networks across the country are telling people to get of Meta, full stop. Flock cameras are in most towns and cities now and track not just license plates but your actual face.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksWBUR's On Point (also available as a podcast) did an episode about this subject yesterday. www.wbur.org/onpoint/2026...
- Reposted by shoesnsocksReminder that Flock and Ring work together. If you have Ring cameras, you can assume they are broadcasting directly to DHS and other agencies. Close your laptops, put phones in another room. And yep, go knock on doors. Build community.
- Reposted by shoesnsocks700 out still leaves 2300 on the ground— roughly four times the number of cops in the Minneapolis PD, just for example.
- This Homan presser is completely incoherent. He started by announcing a drawdown of 700 agents (good!) but then pivoted to whining about "rhetoric" (bad) and suggested there will be more bloodshed if it doesn't stop (grim). Not clear to me that anything is actually changing on the ground here in MN.

- Reposted by shoesnsocksWASHINGTON (AP) — Washington Post says one-third of its staff across all departments, not just the newsroom, is being laid off.
- Reposted by shoesnsocksIn Grand Rapids, Michigan, ICE goons pinned a man face-first into the snow on the side of a busy road and abducted him, despite his repeated pleas that he has a lawyer and legal status. (2/3/26)
