- I gave up and got up just after five, awake, uncomfortable due to cats, uncomfortable due to a recurring arm pain, all the wrong temperature, mind racing. Came downstairs to nest on the sofa. Three concerned cats trying to take it in turns to purr on me or observe me. Oppressively loved.
- December 27th. Toast, biscuits, chocolate, leftover vegan roast (cold), more chocolate, cheese board, remains of yule log. Finished building lego with White Christmas, Funny Face (not good) Home Alone 1 and 2, couple of ghost stories (Room in the Tower, not good) Morcombe and Wise. Nailing it.
- Presenting Richard, leading Flint, Todd, Arturo, Hench and Geoff (with Boney) By no means finished painting as a project, but good enough for a special rules Kill Team ish game this afternoon. Bonus points if you can work out who is named what, and why. #warhammer #warhammer40k

- As I pause to not stare at the laptop for a moment, dear heavens my absolute love to museum registrars, and collections managers of all types, as today I am sorting images documenting our current exhibited collections and ugh, absolutely cross eyed.
- Rather than saying something grumpy about late running appointments, a huge appreciative fistbump for the nurse I saw who laughed and pulled a sympathetic “oh we’re both at that age” face at one point, and at another admitted she absolutely fails to be hydrated despite advising it all day.
- So many butterflies! Walker around various parts of Hope Valley for three days or so, I felt like clouds of butterflies kept appearing. This butterfly bush was aptly busy, more wing than leaf. #naturewalktothebus

- Moss! Today you have a #naturewalktothebus from my adventures in the Dark Peak, because look at this luscious greenery, quietly and determinedly thriving atop the gritstone. It rests when resources are rare, and fills with water to an amazing degree when available. Tenacious little system.

- I continue to enjoy becoming my mum in certain aspects, such as age just meaning more confidence in wearing what I like tyvm, even if it could be considered a grab at dressing like my 20’s. Also, Totoro socks quietly getting me through Tuesday.

- I think I have done very well this last hour or so not just giving up on text and writing “He was a very naughty boy” at A4 size (as my brain slowly gave up, the cat stomped repeatedly on the keyboard, and the heat has been rising) The solution? Text needs to go over two panels. Now, G&T.

- Staring out of the window for a few minutes as I contemplate A. Can I bend space sufficiently for the display cabinet I’m planning for B.
