  • I know I only get away with it because I'm white and don't look poor but I get such pleasure in saying "No thank you! :)" and briskly walking past the grocery store security guards asking to see receipts at the exit. Something something intentional disobedience ++ resisting security theatre.

  • i have such a love/hate with #godot. I'm so glad it exists and I know other engines have problems too but I stg there's always some cursed problem that crops up right as I'm trying to release. This morning I found that our portraits are broken post-4.6 upgrade but only for the exported build.

  • OK, the fix for this wasn't actually to bad, just inexplicable. On a hunch, I have each layer of the portraits manually duplicate their material instead of relying on the previously-working "resource_local_to_scene", and that seems to have fixed it. No idea why it broke on this scene and not others.
