If you're not Minnesotan, you might not know that the late Philando Castile is a major reason we got free school lunches for all children in the state. When he was alive, Castile was a cafeteria worker who covered the cost of lunch for children who were too poor to eat. 1/x- ICE killing #AlexPretti should remind you of police killing #PhilandoCastille. Both men had concealed weapon permits, did not draw their guns, & were killed in Minn. These homicides are the price of unaccountable policing. These deaths are variations on the same fatal theme.
