- I was at the Creatures show and the entire crowd went "wow...." with mouths agape after the song ended. We knew we witnessed something special. I don't get the same feeling w/ this Drip. It is still incredible, but doesn't have the wow factor the Creatures has. Creatures is still a better JAM.

- Don't sleep on the Iowa City Creatures! It's incredible! I do wish it was a minute or two longer, feels like the jam cut short due to time, but it's soooo good! Let my first Goose show make it ONE MORE ROUND!
- Missed 5 picks from round 1 of the @aatgoosepod.bsky.social JOTY of the year bracket challenge. I should have done a relisten more closely. Only one or two I disagree with the vote, but that's OK! Love this band and community!!
- Reposted by Josh HFour-time Grammy Award nominee Jesse Welles performs his song "Join Ice." Bob Dylan once said a single folk singer could defeat an entire army. Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have our man.
- Don’t think I’m going to stand for the pledge anymore at my school. But scared of what will happen if I exercise my right to do so. May just stand cross my arms in protest. I have been mouthing under my break “one nation under anyone with liberty and justice for some” for over a year…

- The next AAT matchup will be interesting in the round of 32... will AWS or EMG move on to the sweet 16? Both are amazing. (Hope I'm right on those predictions.)
- Alright, OIOO needs 114 more votes in 6 min! C'mon!
- Shared this amazing clip of Peter from @goose-band.bsky.social with my 9 yo daughter. She loved it! Can’t wait to get to a show someday!
- I think as a veteran teacher of 20+ years, any time a student tells me the truth I’m just going to give them the middle finger and say “f—- you” and point at them…. Repeatedly… No? Not a good idea?
- That meant to say “tells me off” not “the truth…” Time to go back to my live concert on Nugs

- Words can’t describe how much I love this band. Even watching from my couch, this show was something special. Check it out on Bandcamp if you don’t subscribe to nugs.
- Been watching @goose-band.bsky.social since lockdown, play parking lots, small venues to a little bigger. One night playing to maybe 2000 people and tonight Madison Square Garden. Give it time.

- Finishing up our momentum unit with “Air bag in a bucket”. Sts make a crash cushion to reduce the force on a heavy object. Think reverse egg drop. It’s simple and easy for them to see what they should do. One class, 2 designs, reflect on the physics. Use a force plate to measure F and t.

- My Chicago Stars got spanked last night by Orlando. Bunch of starters out but still a disappointing loss. Orlando is an incredible team to watch though. Regroup back in Chicago next week.
- 1- Something being debated on the Iowa house floor..."HF 929 (formerly HSB 156) is a frightening bill being managed on the floor by Samantha Fett, and by proxy, Moms for Liberty. It's not grabbing the headlines like some of the other bills this session, but it's deceptively dangerous.
- 2- The bill dramatically expands the definition of instructional materials to include "any book, article, audio or visual clip, internet site, digital material, or instructional handout that is assigned, distributed, or otherwise presented to students in any course".
- 3- It also requires that districts publish all of these resources on their website -- organized by subject area, grade level, and TEACHER -- while also authorizing a school board to meet in a closed session to hear a request for removal.

- I relistened this morning and almost turned OFF this Tumble. I stuck it out though. Relistening to this Drive is a new experience every time. It makes me want to dance, groove, and just plain smile. Rick's solo in this Tumble is incredible but a face melting solo doesn't equal JOTY imo.
- I will say though, both are incredible and worthy of JOTY. I'm voting for the song I keep going back to since last April.
- Once again rocking @goose-band.bsky.social during my classes today while my students study for their physics test.

- Physics team, we have Go Direct carts, but only 6 per class. Ideas on a momentum lab practical? We used to use "analog" carts and photogates to predict the mass of an unknown on one cart if they "explode" but the error was gigantic. Wondering if anyone has other good ideas?
- Reposted by Josh HWhen I started teaching physics in 1992, I got a lot of benefit watching Paul Hewitt's Conceptual Physics Alive! videos. They show Paul teaching intro physics at the U of Hawaii. It gave me confidence to see his approach in practice. Paul just posted them online: conceptual.academy #ITeachPhysics

- I may need to re-read my Swackhammer paper on energy, but does anyone cover energy and work by covering "work" first and then moving into energy? I haven't done it that way since starting Modeling Instruction, but it seems every resource out there does work and then moves into energy conservation.
