- I'm trying to meet a 6x6 Challenge for 2026! #wargaming
- Last two wargames from Saturday at #Historicon: Jan Žižka and his armored wagons defeated the Germans at Kutná Hora, 1421. And the Americans managed a victory against the British at Guilford Courthouse, 1781.
- Yesterday's second game at #Historicon was refighting Jaffa, 1192. Salah ad-Din Yusuf ibn Ayyub was much pleased to see Richard Lionheart dragged from his horse and captured. Despite a late-game arrival of some Knights Templars, the Ayyubid forces overwhelmed the Crusader right flank. #wargaming
- Playing in Martyn Kelly's giant Pavia game at #Historicon. Incredible to see such massive units on 28mm on the table. #wargaming
- More pictures:
- Well that's all the B-17s done for my Big Week project. Hopefully the fighters (being 1/4 the size of a bomber) should take less time to paint. #wargaming #WWII #BigWeek
- If you see this, post your blues. French Legere, Cossacks, Castles in the Skies Americans
- Played another game of Bingfa this past weekend. The States of Chu and Han clashed, with the Han outnumbered 2:1 by Chu infantry.
- So I'm currently reading Toby Wilkinson's "The Last Dynasty" (about Egypt under the Ptolemies) and I'm convinced he wrote this whole book just for this one pun:
- I recently played a game with a new set of rules, for fighting the large battles of China's Warring States period. #wargaming #warringstates
- Also, forgot to share this from last week:
- A new blog post today with a Hundred Years War after action report.
- AAR of last weekend's game:
- Playing some modified "Liber Militum: Tercios" today. Spanish vs French.
- Game 3, vs Picts. Another loss! Normans don't stand up well to nasty guerilla tactics.
- Game 2 vs Welsh. My Normans were utterly slaughtered by Welsh Javelins!
- Saga tourney (Vikings and Invasions) today, taking my Normans out of cold storage. First game was a win against Saxons. Gallop is a nasty ability with javelin-equipped Norman Warriors.
