The only reason I was able to leave was because I had the financial means to and that’s only because my mom drilled into me from the first time a boy gave me a gift to never be financial dependent on a man.
So many women in these situations are trapped in the cycle because of multiple factors, and money is definitely one of the biggest factors. You might start brainwashing yourself into believing it’s not that bad if you think your only other option is homelessness.
