- Just called Kaine’s office and let a staffer know that if he doesn’t stop voting for Trump’s nominees and agenda, I will be backing a primary challenger when he runs next. Yes he’s not up till 2030, but I have a long memory.
- By a vote of 54-40, the #Senate confirmed the nomination of David Clay Fowlkes to be United States District Judge for the Western District of Arkansas. Dems voting in favor: Durbin, Hassan, Kaine, Shaheen, and Whitehouse.
- Just landed in Virginia and to paraphrase Douglas Adams: “the temperature is well below the legal minimum, or rather it would do if anybody had the common sense to set a legal minimum.”
- This is great, it really is. But that works out to $100 per worker. And that’s assuming that lawyers don’t get a cut of the payout first. Wage theft/fraud screws workers out of billions each year and if punished, they write a check for a fraction of what they stole. A fine is price. Cost of business
