- Really want to write a paper about the metaphor of the rabbit hole used in relation to digital practices and mental health 🧐 It came up in my previous job in young people's talk about TikTok algorithms and eating disorder content, and it's come up in my new corpus about psychosis.
- Genuinely just been told by a GP receptionist that because a GP called in sick, my daughter and I cannot both have an appointment even if they’re emergency issues and I have to choose between us. They didn’t even ask what the issues were. Astounding.
- For context, my 5-month-old who was in NICU for respiratory distress may have a chest infection. I may also have an infection and I have type 1 diabetes so infections are high risk. But cool.
- Periodic reminder that a cold isn’t ’just a cold’ for people with long-term health conditions: last night my blood sugars went up to 25.1 mmol/L. Blood sugars that high puts you at risk of life-threatening diabetic ketoacidosis.
