View full threadI think the ETF volume for BTC probably will elevate this floor and we won't see an 80+% wipeout. But I also think shitcoins are in for a nuclear winter. They didn't really have a bull market, BTC did, and now everyone is in a bear market. It's over forever for a lot of coins.

- Crypto is getting annihilated again today
- Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana getting hit harder than most is a very bad sign imo. Crypto charts have looked like someone(s) are trapped ever since Trump nuked everyone's leverage on 10/10. Every bounce gets sold instantly. Big stuff selling off harder means there's no shitcoin liquidity
- Think this is a liquidation event, and people are selling whatever they can get for cash. Big firms can't sell shitcoins without driving the price to $0 thanks to no liquidity, so they're selling BTC, ETH and SOL, the only things that have any real big market. Crypto bull market is over.
- Bitcoin falling again, now it's under Michael Saylor's average price. Microstrategy's entire strategy is in the red.
- Gold line - BTC Blue line - MSTR MSTR is not just supposed to track BTC, but trade above it with a premium that creates (created?) a flywheel effect where Saylor can keep folding BTC and MSTR profits into the company. Now MSTR is underperforming BTC and the flywheel don't fly anymore.
- This matters because Michael Saylor is a lunatic and Microstrategy owns a ton of BTC, 713,502 of them to be exact, and if they ever become forced sellers for whatever reason, they can annihilate the crypto market.
- Which while hilarious, would probably be unfortunate for us given how much the AI trade is the crypto trade and as we learned last week, is also the precious metals trade. It's all just one big degenerate rotation trade around whatever has momentum.

- Every time I write about UFOs some nice liberal without a security clearance comes out of the woodwork to tell me how my source with a security clearance has no idea what they're talking about.
- There's a kind of highly rational liberal reader who gets infuriated by my UFO writing where I largely refuse to say anything conclusive. There's something about that worldview that just can't take uncertainty for an answer.
- Reposted by Jacob WeindlingI'm convinced one of the reasons epstein was able to coast for so long is that for many sensible people including and especially educated liberals, viewing the world through a conspiratorial lens was always seen as vaguely distasteful and rube-coded

- Not sure it's a good thing that the Japanese 40-year has 4% in range and the US 30-year can see the TACO Trump number of 5% over the horizon
- And while gold is selling off hard, so far, the price range where the US wasn't actively trying to take Greenland from NATO and where Japan didn't publicly announce a plan to blow out its deficit even more is a buy zone for the market.
- Reposted by Jacob WeindlingI feel like trump voters are beginning to realize there isn't some grand ending here. It's just national suicide and not everyone is down with that
- Remarkable: 55% of noncollege whites and even 50% of rural whites say ICE is too aggressive, per new Fox News poll. And 71% of independents disapprove of Trump on immigration. This is digging deep into Trump's base. We detail these numbers on today's pod: newrepublic.com/article/2059...

- Reposted by Jacob WeindlingEpstein is the most garish and harrowing manifestation of this but oligarchy makes life miserable in a thousand other ways. A core point of democracy is that no one should have so much power that they can make themselves everybody's problem. We should have a political party that believes that
- The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

- There's a common technical term for what all the non-Bitcoin charts look like: absolute giga dogshit. They all want to race each other to $0 so bad. The only thing that's been propping crypto up is BTC looking like a normal bull run, but now that sure looks like it's over.
- Kind of think this wipeout is a continuation of metals yesterday. Lotta degenerates were longing silver cuz they got sick of BTC lagging, and the way you have to understand crypto is through leverage. The reason it goes up and down so much is because people take on debt to long Debts came due today
- Trump nuking everyone in crypto's leverage with a Friday post he TACO'd on by Sunday is what ended the crypto bull run. Charts look like a lot of bodies are floating up on beaches right now. www.jezebel.com/trump-bankru...
- Reposted by Jacob WeindlingOne effect of the gendered split in the US political imagination, in which liberals are feminized and conservatives are masculinized, is that liberals’ opposition to the right is cast as disavowed sexual desire. Liberals secretly want fascism, in this view, the same way women secretly want rape.
