Just saw Graydon Carter at JFK and desperately wanted to tell him how formative Spy was for me, and how I still have every issue in a box under my bed, and to praise him for nailing Trump from the jump. But I’m a New Yorker and we don’t bug people waiting at a gate.
My most persistent escape fantasy for the last decade and a half is that we live in an alternate world where more people read SPY, and we would have known to laugh DJT outta the room from the jump and also SPY would still be around.
