Vancouver-based Jim Pattison Developments says it will not be selling a Virginia warehouse property to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Local governments are already saying there is nothing they can to do stop this; it's the federal government purchasing private property, and the Supremacy Clause ties their hands on what they can do.
