- Throop Heath this morning, Stonechat and Crossbills - very obliging female, very high up and uncooperative males. Either way though, a very exciting life tick. @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @btoengland.bsky.social
- Bullfinch and Redpoll, both high up and in 'challenging' light, and a friendly Robin, Thorncombe Woods this morning @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @nationaltrust.org.uk
- Exciting to see the Redpolls (there were several), haven't seen too many of those over the years.
- Female Goshawk flypast this morning, v high up so not great photos. Disappointingly, the 1st photo was a fem Sparrowhawk - but the 2nd one was definitely a fem Goshawk, my 1st ever photo of one, and only my 2nd sighting. @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @btobirds.bsky.social
- Thank you all for your comments - on reflection, we agree that the first photo is a Sparrowhawk, my first instinct, but we're still excited to have seen (and photographed) the juvenile Goshawk!
- Yellowhammers, part of a flock of at least thirty on Giant Hill, Cerne Abbas this morning @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @btobirds.bsky.social
- Still a decent flock of Linnets and Chaffinches at Lenthay Common, no Yellowhammers in sight this time though. There were, however, several Skylarks singing on high. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social @dorsetwildlife.bsky.social @btobirds.bsky.social @rspbengland.bsky.social
