My mother, Catherine Cresto, was a Corporal in the WAAC's, a high-speed radio operator. She served overseas and was at the Battle of the Bulge deciphering and sending coded messages. She passed in 2003. Her story was recorded by the Washington State library. I grew up hearing her tales of the war.
