- Philanthropy will never be a replacement for what the government can and should provide. This is something abundantly clear to people like me who work in the nonprofit sector.
- The fight for philanthropic dollars was *already* brutal before the Trump administration took a knife to the social safety net. The only solution is to tax the shit out of rich people and use that money to fund services.
