- Reposted by RallenFun fact - when his AAF orchestra (complete with strings) came to Britain, wartime bandleader Major Glenn Miller's commanding officer was a certain Lt. Col. David Niven. Photo taken at the Bedford Corn Exchange, July 1944. Miller was lost on a flight to Paris that December*.
- Reposted by RallenI have absolutely no idea why I find this so funny.
- I miss the age of the sitcom. Nowadays it’s mostly panel shows. However I often think what a Stewart Lee sitcom would be like, can you imagine how he would push the boundaries of it?
- The Latest album from @acerecords.bsky.social great stuff !
- And thanks to @iammilliam.bsky.social this is satisfying bleak so ticks my boxes!
- Reposted by RallenIn the week the great Hungarian film director Bela Tarr died, not a single one of his films was available to stream legitimately. Not even on bespoke art film services. Twenty years ago you could get them on DVD in a big HMV. This is not progress.
- Just watched another Tarantino film. Is he the most overrated director of modern times? I mean Pulp Fiction was good but it’s like claiming A-Ha are up there with the Beatles.

- There’s a guy in the office that looks just like Jochen Rindt. Wonder if a) he knows and b) if anyone in this building actually knows who Jochen Rindt was. This is niche even by my standards.
- A room with some history. The Brontë museum not far from where I’m From. Jane Eyre, Wuthering Hights and Agnes Grey were written in this room (Emily also died in it) 📚
- What’s your favourite Harold Wilson meme? I think I hid is my favourite.
- Following my journey exploring @acerecords.bsky.social just found out they have a podcast and the great Stewart Lee is on an episode. Fantastic open.spotify.com/episode/2GqI...
- Reposted by RallenFour fictional characters who would definitely defect to Reform.
- I don’t suffer from SAD thankfully (I like the dark) however I’m really struggling with the cold these days. Seems to have seeped into my bones. And I’m northern! The costs of buying whisky to warm me up are going to ruin me
