Seattle area cosplayer, genre fiction fan, and cat enjoyer. Kappei Yamaguchi once teased me for liking old anime so you know it’s true. 30+, account is sfw but minors are warned. Always drowning in wig hair.

- I love how if you order from the Discworld Emporium, your package comes with all sorts of fun in universe Easter eggs. (Costco mailer to block out my irl address because NOPE)
- anyway I FINALLY CAUGHT THE DISCWORLD BLANKET WHILE IT WAS IN STOCK AND IT IS 10000% MY DECORATION COLORS IRL AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
- this is too big for me to get a photo of so I’m just linking the out of stock listing it’s so pretty irl
- this is the silliest cosplay related vent but you know what annoys me on a regular basis lately? we don’t currently have another mega popular character with the same hair color as Asuna from SAO which means it’s so hard to find budget wigs in that blonde-orange-pink range.
- I don’t even like Sword Art Online (I’m a known SAO hater) but I used to use “Asuna wig” as a shortcut to find budget strawberry blonde wigs and now that entire spectrum of color is an utter bitch to locate. There’s no widely agreed on keyword for that particular version of strawberry blonde.
- one thing I genuinely love about North America is how common most of our cute mammals are. you don’t have to go into a forest and pray if you want to see a raccoon or a squirrel. they’re in your local parking lot.
- I love cute animals from around the world but so many of them require S rank luck to spot outside museums or zoos meanwhile we’re over here like “this is a squirrel or a chipmunk, people in other continents go insane for them, please get them out of my bird feeder”
- I read Ghost Station by S. A. Barnes yesterday and OFFICIAL BOOK THAT GOES HARD ALERT it was like the emotional experience of watching Alien (1979) for the first time if you like space horror with a side of body horror where the psychological tension could be cut with a knife………
- I adore space horror but it’s such an underrated genre and half of it is apparently going for “what if we made bad Alien (1979) fanfic”…
- it should not be legal for my insurance to insist my cancer medicine require signature on delivery (by me at home address) and then give me an EIGHT HOUR DELIVERY WINDOW and it was supposed to arrive yesterday but they delayed it so now I get a second eight hour delivery window
- how am I supposed to do anything when staying alive can occasionally require 16 hours of sitting by a door so my literal cancer medicine doesn’t get returned to sender
- save me, recent photos of retired Japanese racehorse Meisho Doto, my mental health is in your hands
- the thing about “I would simply never adore the work of someone who turns out to be an abusive nightmare” is that ahaha no. you don’t know the people who create your favorite art but fandom creates power and power gives some people the veil they need to do horrible things. it could be happening now.
- getting tricked by an abuser doesn’t mean you support the abuse unless you continue to help hide it once you know. abusers are SO GOOD at hiding their abuse from the sort of people who would actually care; some particularly horrible ones even use outspoken anti-abuse friends as a shield.
- just……. remember that fame and a highly curated image can hide all sorts of sins. if someone is trying hard enough to hide it, parasocial fandom can drown out the one voice screaming in pain. eventually you’ll get tricked and you’ll get hit with “unfortunately, the creator.” that’s what abusers DO.
