- It's been a while since I have written on my blogs but today I have been playing around with a suggested AI prompt that I used in Co-Pilot and was happy with the end result after a few revisions and addional information. #FamilyHistory #GenealogyStories sussexheritage.blogspot.com/2025/09/a-le...

- Evening #GenHour was at a Zoom meeting this morning for the Family Historian Zoom Group. We had a talk by @coachcarole.bsky.social on the practical uses of AI in Genealogy. A superb talk. It covered how AI can assist your research rather than find you info about your ancestors #Genealogy
- #OnThisDay 26 July, in 1947 my grandfather, Frank Grieve Jackson died. He was born in 1873 in Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire and died in Molash, Kent. #FamilyHistory
- To all my friends....you will no longer be able to direct message me as @bsky.app insists I need to do age verification. No way am I giving it's 3rd party a facial scan or my credit card details. If it reduces too many other features then I may well leave and not come back.
- If you wish to direct message me then please use my #OnePlaceStudy website address.
- I forgot to add this to my #OnThisDay post yesterday and it is something I find very touching & yet so coincidental. After Dad's funeral in church we went to the crematorium in Eastbourne. The funeral cortege, unexpectedly& unplanned, took the coastal road across the marshes to Eastbourne ....2/
- It is a bit of a twisty lane and at one point we turned a corner and their was a lone (bag) piper playing in a garden. Dad was half Scottish. So appropriate.❤️
- Time to sign off now #GenHour ...see you again next Thursday.
- I've created a basic template timeline in Excel. I've added facts and events that happened in the UK during the period 1800 - 2000. I 'm using this for my ancestors; customising it to their cradle to grave time period and added in extra according to their occupations & local events too. #GenHour
- New record collections on Ancestry can be found here. www.ancestry.co.uk/search/colle... Always good to check in case any are needed by you. Nothing for me this time #GenHour
