- some say the demons in frieren are too one-dimensionally evil but imo that's the best part about them. I've known people who turned out to operate in the exact same way as these demons. Some people in this world are irredeemable and we should accept that
- frieren made other anime unwatchable for me
- it's mostly the character acting... it's all so... Normal. I've always felt so exhausted watching over-the-top reactions from anime characters. Frieren lets me get immersed without the whiplash and anxiety of unnecessary yapping and yelling. The impact comes from the storytelling itself. I like that
