- If you're going to play in the #Idaho Backcountry, you NEED reliable satellite comms Over the years I've been involved in 6 InReach coordinated rescues. 4 - not life-threatening 1 - flatlanders stuck & unprepared for a winter overnight at 8,000' 1 - guy with a punctured lung coughing up blood 🚁
- A couple of those rescues were mine, broken truck once, dual tire failure the other. I've also received critical weather information during potentially life threatening weather twice. Once during a 2 am severe lightning and wind event while in a tent at 10,000' w/ trees falling all around me.
