It's cool to see the GOP going anti-gun. All it took was for a federal government-sanctioned force killing a white male nurse who had a gun, but didn't draw it, to decide that citizens should not have the right to bear arms at certain times...I'm sure this will end well.
Feb 3, 2026 15:39In godawful TX. I've been asked why I don't carry. My response is always "Because a firearm is the FIRST answer to conflict when it should be the LAST resort."
ICE doesn't believe that.
Hubs and I both US citizens, both veterans ... think I need to clean my firearms. This assault isn't over yet.
Relay from BLUESKY.....
I wonder if the MAGAts will mail their guns in or just turn them in at the local courthouse?
It will be interesting at the very least…
The GOP anti-gun efforts will be based on voter registration and the NRA, lobbyists and gun rights advocates won’t care because that’s not their target market.
Look at all the current constitutional violations that this administration is engaged in, the 2A won’t be any different.
1. I'm GOP.
2. I'm hardly anti-gun.
That said, if you go carrying to a peaceful protest than make sure you stay peaceful.
Violent protest isn't protected by the Constitution, and if you're packing while engaging in violent protest then expect to be treated like an armed criminal.
Be they blue or red, D or R, anyone coming for my weapons is a fool.
When they attack 2A, its because they want to take away 1A, and we all know where that leads. Which is why there shouldn't be any hesitation.
That's 'go time'.
It's not that they have decided that that "citizens should not have the right to bear arms at certain times."
I think what they mean is that the second amendment should apply only to people who support Trump.
Not anti-gun.
Cancel the second amendment; cancel ICE; unarm the police. Who gives a shit what the insecure fascists think will secure their reign of bullshit that needs to end ASAP?! I am anti gun and pro nonlethal law enforcement without deportation of refugees.
