This is a pleasing meme. I will talk about nice things and I'd love to hear about yours.

1. The smell of crashing waves.
2. Salted caramel in everything sweet, like ice cream, yoghourt, pie, cookies, spreads...
3. Cold, dry, sunny weather. The coldest the better! Living at the coast high humidity is a given & climate change is making cold days rare, so I'm treasuring it when it happens.
4. Solitude.
Not to be mistaken for loneliness. I not only love being alone, I crave it. I could happily spend months by myself and be the happiest person in the whole world.
Jan 22, 2025 22:005. Hand-knitted socks. I've recently rekindled my passion for them as a means to keep anxiety as bay and I must say, few things are so comforting as a soft pair of custom made socks freshly out of the needles!
6. Witty people who unexpectedly makes me laugh.
It's a rare quality that very few achieve—my bar is set high, what can I say—so when it happens, they earn a place in my heart. Sometimes a very big place.
7. Driving.
When I'm behind the wheel I'm one with the car. I was a late driver—got my license at age 30 and only because I needed, living where I do, but once I started I just loved it.
8. Gardening.
Getting my hands in the soil, growing things that I can eat, watching the evolution of the different plants along the seasons... Few things give me more peace and satisfaction.
9. Movies. I've watched thousands of them and passed that passion to my kids.
10. Spanish tortilla. I will never tire of it!
11. Learning new things.
Whoever said that old dogs can't learn new tricks was an asshole. I'm 57 and learning new stuff about lots of things constantly.
12. The smell if a good coffee. I don't like the taste, though.
13. Being an early riser.
14. My vinyl collection from the 80s. Back then, I was labeled a weirdo by my friends who thought my music taste was shit. Turns out, those vinyls are considered the best of the decade now.
Fresh lemons. I'm sure my pupils get huge every time I grab a lemon directly from the tree cause I can feel its effects inside me.
Animals. I've always had pets: dogs, cats, hedgehogs, tortoises, birds, goldfish... Currently I have 3 cats and 2 hens, and I feed a cat colony and several hedgehogs of my neighborhood.
17. The small, rustic towns where I can walk on quiet, paved streets listening to the swallows nesting under the roofs. I would love to spend my final years there.
18. Books. Reading and writing them. I may never publish but that doesn't rob me from the pleasure of writing them.
