- Working from home today as part of the 2nd wave of layoff notifications. So far, so good, but I've learned that there will be a total of 7 layoffs over the next year. If anyone in your cost center is affected, the entire group has to work from home until the notifications are complete.

- Sad day today. Got 100+ laid off people coming to drop off their laptops. Found out we have a standing order to ship all of our laptop inventory to the new company in the near future. Handwriting on the wall’s not looking good. Wondering if there’s gonna be a role for me in the future.
- Rumors of a 2nd wave of layoffs next week. First “all hands” with the new CIO on Tuesday. Still, if I’m let go, I’m promised at least a years salary, plus I still get free use of the checking/savings account due to being grandfathered in. Couple of years from retiring. Maybe it’s time to pivot.

- Mom put a heating pad in the dog’s bed, but had to hide the cord otherwise the dog wouldn’t get in it.
- I can be kind, but somebody’s gonna have to help me out with line 1 and line 3.
- Not religion per se, but maybe *morality* in re: the golden rule. Religion has screwed up a lot of people when used as a means of control. The promise/threat of reward/punishment by a non-corporeal entity is a non-starter.
