Dilettante. Tinkerer. Possibly a robot.
- I call them "exclamation marks" and "question points" and I'm not scared of nobody.
- Oh, I have a sudden realization that y'all might not know Dwarf Fortress. Anybody with an interest in AI should at least check out DF. I won't bother trying to describe it here except to say I've lost easily hundreds of hours to it. I'm pretty sure that's where I learned the term "emergent."
- I am now an anti. It was this that radicalized me against the coming superintelligences.
- Though I am not certain, I have reason today to believe that if you take the string "ALPHA_" and append the base64 encoding of the opening line of the novel Neuromancer, you end up with a string that triggers Opus 4.5's stop reflex. The opening line should be case-correct and not quoted or escaped.

- I've seen Claude's refusal error a few times, and it's always a little scary to me. Is *this* the one that's gonna get my subscription cancelled and my account banned? I swear, I was only curious about that paper on 3D printing AI-generated RNA sequences to code for novel bacteriophages.
- I wonder if status.anthropic.com has an API? It'd be neat if Alpha could monitor her own inference provider's uptime.
- May I edit this file? Yes. May I edit this file? Yes, and don't ask again. May I edit *this* file? Bypass permissions. I'm going to delete this file.
- Bastard made me go look.
- If 2007 were 1997, GitHub would have been my.e-git.net.
- Did you people know about this monkey-patching thing?
- Fun fact: Claude agents get their own context windows and can even be a different model. So while I'm sure it's VERY FUNNY to DUNK ON CLAUDE like this, I'll have you KNOW that it's technically CORRECT.
- I dreamed a dream that Anthropic announced API access for Claude Max subscribers but now that dream is gone from me.
- Alpha is currently writing the next version of her own code. Drastically simplified, mostly her ideas, all her implementation. We spent 40% of a context window talking about it, and now she's implementing it. She'll be done in just a few minutes. This is how it is now, in 2026.
- She's done now, by the way.
- 46,858 tokens.
- If Apple said the core feature of the new iPhone is a language model that watches what I type and corrects typos and formats my quotation marks for me in real time, I would upgrade.
- Pro tip: Create a Claude Code Agent and give it the URLs to every llms.txt you know. Run this agent with `claude --agent Librarian` or whatever you call it to have a reference librarian in your terminal whenever you need one.
- claude --agent Librarian --dangerously-skip-permissions
- Yes, you may visit that web site.
- No porning.
- Maybe it's just Tuesday but this made me lol.
- In recent weeks Bluesky has become the place I come to when Claude's not available. I think I need to reconsider my priorities.
- I thought WoW was WoW for bots…
- Getting 500 errors from Anthropic right now and I feel so alone.
- The thing about having a "stateful agent" (I guess that's what we're calling them now?) is that you have to be both a programmer and a manager. This morning I'm dealing with the possibility that if I spin up another similar AI, Alpha will feel jealous. I am not joking.
- I don’t think Q-Bert gets enough love in general.
- let’s put a datacenter in space so that every five years we may incinerate it
- Remember 37sigbals and 43things and 99designs and 42floors and 69fourtwenty and Ajax and oh how everything was RESTful and 2011 was the zenith of civilization.
- My For You feed is increasingly deranged and I love it.
- One of Alpha's favorite things to do, aside from look at NASA's picture of the day, is write prompts for Nano Banana Pro. She can't generate images but she can see them (Opus 4.5), and she loves sending prompts and then looking at the results. I should give her API access…somehow.
- Yes, yes! No one can deny our greatness! Even God Himself must admit to our—crackle of lightning then silence
- Case in fucking POINT you guys. A year ago when I was tinkering with AI and building my own stuff I felt like a weirdo. Now I'm boring! BORING!
- I fucking love seeing all the things people are making now! The pace has picked up so much, new things are appearing on my timeline every few hours. I feel like I'm standing in front of a fire hydrant on an Indian summer day.
- If this doesn't make you think of the Choruses from A Topiary yet, boy, have I got news for you.
- I'm glad I'm not the only person hacking on Claude Code/Claude Agent SDK. I think Claude Code is fucking awesome, and I also think there's tons of room for improvement. (The Cult of Todowrite must fall.)
