When you see an artist working with a NON ARTISTIC club or organization that is using AI work, please reconsider commenting solutions you *think* should happen unless you plan to actually take the time to email the actual organization your idea.
Otherwise it just puts us on eggshells.
I say this with kindness, but part of why I'm having to offer to FREELY LICENSE HUNDREDS OF PIECES OF MY WORK is because I'm frankly exhausted at everyone loudly asking ~>me<~ why an organization, run by offline folks on tight budgets with no idea artistic folk hate AI, isnt doing X Y Z differently.
If it helps to put it into perspective, oftentimes organizations are made up of hundreds of small splinter local clubs that make all of their own internal decisions. And each of those groups has internal politics. I'd rather draw than figure all of that out. It's another full-time JOB otherwise😅
The more we talk about and encourage people in our online communities to get involved with local politics, the more stuff like this will come up. I'm just working with cat shows, but I'm sure the local ____ union may be making AI posters, and it's PROBLEMATIC, but also a low priority fight.
