- I lose faith in the world every time some claim it's easy to get disability benefits. In the US, it is extremely difficult, and for the UK, they assess you on how it impacts areas of your life, not just a diagnosis. A high majority of claims aren't accepted and lead to a long tribunal period.
- It isn't just given to people. It is an exhausting process kept in place by an ableist system. Maybe if people listened to the people affected instead of the politicians, disabled people would get the care they deserved.

- One thing I'm glad about is I don't see a lot of xicheng vs. chengxi dynamics on here. Even when I was only a xicheng fan, it depressed me to see people tear each other apart like that and to feel boxed into only one version of xicheng. It doesn't have to be like that. Qijiu fandom in particular
- cheer on all their creators, even when it's not their preference. A difference in preference shouldn't lead to mass assumptions, claiming someone has the wrong perspective, social exclusion, etc. And even if someone said something you didn't like, don't assume that's everyone because then that leads
- to further resentment on both sides. If you want to hate and resent people, put that on the people who support harmful ideologies, not people who ship the same characters in a different way.
- Thinking back to the advice where people have said to tag as chengxi only and I think realistically, using only chengxi and not xicheng with it can very much limit people's views. Xicheng itself is often used as a general term for the ship, including those who don't care about who tops like verse or
- fluff writers. I don't think it's fair for only one type of creator to get visibility over the others. Whilst the tagging method makes most sense in China, it's not wide knowledge unless someone happens to be in your bubble.

- SW YUWU: Jiang Yexue arc I sometimes think about how miserable Jiang Yexue's life would be if the demonic energy hadn't consumed him. He carried so much isolation from his mother's death, his father's rejection, Murong Chuyi's rejection, and essentially being replaced by his younger sibling.
- What a cruel fate he was set up for. He'd have been miserable and alone for the rest of his life. I kind of wish that instead of fully shutting him out, Murong Chuyi had set more boundaries and allowed him to explain himself. Maybe he wouldn't have been consumed by the demonic energy so quickly.

- Not sure I'll get around to writing it but I've had an idol xicheng idea for a while that starts off as break up, but then they get back together. It's about Lan Xichen being forced into a traditionally masculine role as a top and all his career being centered around his feminine bottom Jiang Cheng.
- The key part of the plot is how their fans push their expectations on them both to act a certain way; lan xichen has to have short hair, has to hold him, has to look after him, has to protect him, etc. Whilst he loves Jiang Cheng, he grows tired of being someone he's not and not mattering in
- comparison to his boyfriend. He leaves, not wanting to play a traditional masculine role any longer. After a few months, he grows his hair out and lets himself enjoy life on his terms. He likes not tying himself to gender expectations and being free to show his kindness over possessiveness.
