- I have never been so vindicated about anything in my life, except maybe OOTB hitting bestseller lists 🎊🥰
- Congratulations, Raven!! I'm sooo excited to see this in stores. I KNEW someone would scoop it up! :)
- Closing in on the end of SOME DESPERATE GLORY by @emilytesh.net and I am so anxious it’s making me nauseas 😭 this act three is a doozy 😭
- Well, the fact that Leverage Redemption won’t get a season 4 isn’t exactly a surprise, but I am so sad 😭 every episode this year was so delightful and I’m really, really hoping we’ll get lucky again and a third iteration of Leverage will be in our future sometime 🤞🏻
- All right, my QM is officially closed for the year! As publishing slows down for a few weeks, I'll be hunkering down to get some rest. I'll see you all in January. :)
- All right, I know my inbox wasn't open for that long, but I am preparing to close for the year THIS SUNDAY, December 7. If you've got something for me, now's your chance! Send it in before Sunday, or else wait until January. :)
- Reposted by GiannaMarieA lot of people who look like me will have a lot to say about Alice in coming days and I stand by this: We take up too much space, something Alice and I talked about a lot. I'm focusing on letting Alice speak for herself, and uplifting those she asked to represent her.
- Reposted by GiannaMarieCongress’s shutdown deal eliminated key food safety rules, blocking agencies from enforcing measures to prevent contamination and trace outbreaks. This rollback has coincided with a surge in hospitalizations and deaths from foodborne illnesses.
- Reposted by GiannaMarieWhat a privilege it is to be a younger disabled person in a community shaped by Alice Wong. Rest in peace, Alice.
- Happy fall, everyone! 🍂 I am officially open to queries once again! If you've got something in my categories, please submit to my QM at querytracker.net/query/3926 !
- For a detailed accounting of what I'm looking for, please consult my #mswl www.manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/gi... ! It's up to date. :)
- Reposted by GiannaMarieHooray! @authorsabb.bsky.social is *OFFICIALLY* a nonprofit, and is now open for donations! For the last two years we've been doing all this w free tools, or paying out of pocket, & we were STILL able to get SO MUCH DONE. Imagine what we could do with $$$ www.authorsagainstbookbans.com/donate/
- Heads up for local friends.
- Both CNN & CBS are reporting that ICE will begin operations in Charlotte this month, and the CBP detail led by Greg Bovino may be diverted here from Chicago. I hope we have some 3D printers fired up to make whistles & community members are ready to resist. #ncpol #CLT www.cnn.com/2025/11/11/u...
- Reposted by GiannaMarieI'm running a free, virtual event with the Orange County Library System in about half an hour to talk about taking your book on sub! My goal is to put writers' anxieties to rest and demystify one of the most nerve-wracking stages in the publication journey. attend.ocls.org/event/14071355
- Reposted by GiannaMarieIt’s been a pleasure working with Lex and everyone in the politics vertical at Teen Vogue. I’m heartbroken that my column, Disability Visibility, is gone. Teen Vogue was one of the few places that published disabled journalists regularly. I just spent the last 2 months working on my next column

- Continue to commend @ryannorth.ca for writing plots that allow Alicia to be part of the action, to solve problems in unique and useful ways. I continue to really appreciate the care and creativity with which you approach her blindness! This is my fave book every month 😊
- "Fantastic Four #4 is another standout chapter in @ryannorth.ca's run, proving once again that science fiction is at its best when it asks “what if?” and dares to find out" @tombrevoort.bsky.social @ramosland.bsky.social #FantasticFour #NCBD #comicsky Read @davidbrooke.bsky.social's review:
- AHHHHHHHH
- Like every time something good happens to OOTB I cry 😭
- I have been pacing while reciting a pitch letter to myself for so long that when I sat down to look something up in the thesaurus I typed in "thesaurus"
- Reposted by GiannaMarieThank you so much for the warm welcome, GiannaMarie! I'm so excited to have found an agent who is just as passionate about increasing disability representation in literature as I am.
- So delighted to share today that I've added another wonderful author to my client list! 🤩🥳 Please welcome @ejephess.bsky.social to our growing Neighborhood!

- All right, it looks like October is shaping up to be a delightfully busy month for me! I won't have the time to consider taking any new clients for a few weeks, so I'm going to shut my QM form for a little while, starting THIS SUNDAY, October 12th.
- If you've been on the fence about querying me or I requested your material from #DVPit and you haven't sent your package over, now's your time! I hope to reopen in early November. When I do, I'll announce it here. :)
- All right, my inbox is officially closed! Catch y'all in a few weeks. 😊
- Hello again! I suspect, based on my schedule for the day + the hashtag bug I will not be as active in requesting queries for #DVPit as I usually am for pitch events, but here’s all my info anyway!
- If I request your query, please send it to me through QueryManager! My areas of specialization are MG/YA and adult SFF, but I find myself slightly more open to other genres during pitch events. If I request a query from you that is in a genre my QM doesn’t list, please select the closest one.
- If you end up researching me and notice your project has a lot in common with themes I say on my MSWL I’m probably not the best fit for, if I have requested your pitch, please send it! I’ll give almost any idea a chance if it’s written through a disability lens.

View full threadOkay, I'm officially done looking at pitches. It's been a long day! Can't wait to read all these queries. 😊
- I don’t rep GNs, but I’m really rooting for Rachel to get signed! I loved her recent essay in the Disability Debrief newsletter and would love to see more people have access to her art!
- 18-yr-old Rachel wants to enjoy college like her peers–seemingly housing & food secure, with family. Instead, an ex-homeless runaway youth, Rachel is thrust into adulthood on her own. To survive, she must rebuild community & confront a dark secret at the root of her new independence. #DVpit #GN #DIS
- Novavax secured! ✌🏻💉
- Soo glad for Crip News, I totally would've missed that Eli Clare has a new book out!!!!! BRILLIANT IMPERFECTION was one of the very first disability theory texts I read and it holds a special part of my heart for that. Cannot wait to get a copy of UNFURL!!
- my friend gushing to me about @dirtbagqueer.rocks's OOTB: "when people say 'an unflinching examination of the trans experience' this is what they SHOULD be talking about!!!"
- (she loved it)
- Will be calling tomorrow! Thank you for this very informative post @meactnet.bsky.social you've made it super easy to understand what's going on and take action!
- Take action to save telehealth now! You can call or email your member of Congress. To make this action easier, we have drafted up a sample script/email wording you can use: www.meactions.org/telehealth #Telehealth #PwME #MECFS #LongCovid #disability
- The thing no one tells you about getting serious about garment sewing is that it makes you the most insufferable person to watch TV with. The fit of a garment is a telling story detail and it bugs me to no end when it’s in conflict with the intended characterization
- Also now I keep being shocked by how I went around for most of my life not understanding garment fit. I can’t unsee it! And I can’t get over how it’s normal to not know what a properly-fitted garment looks like anymore!
- If you can’t tell, it’s my annual “maybe I’ll try making body blocks again!” phase. This usually does not go well for me lol
