- one more thing as celebration for TOZ 11th anniv, yesterday I (re)translated White Light onceshone.tumblr.com/post/8063136... I keep coming back to this song and I feel like I could never do it justice, but I’m pretty satisfied with this… for now. translating is hard no matter what 😂

- Recently I’ve been trying to get back into translating (mostly songs) so I don’t get rusty, and I’m setting up an archive blog for that purpose: onceshone.tumblr.com
- I know it can feel a bit rude to re-translate things that others have already translated, but I really want to capture the nuances and tone of the original. Especially with song lyrics, since they’re often beautiful/poetic in the original, yet most translations don’t fully convey that 😅
- (though now that I’ve tried doing it myself, I get it… it’s really hard lol)
- now it's not just my hands that feel painful, but also my back 🫠 I can't even bend over without feeling pain lol
