- I will never stop fighting for our rights to control our own bodies, and that includes access to gender-affirming care for transgender youth. Contrary to what Secretary Kennedy claims, the major medical organizations agree that gender-affirming care is safe and effective.
- Decisions to seek that care should be between a patient and their doctor. That’s why late last night, I sued to block enforcement of HHS’s unlawful “declaration” that attempts to limit access to gender-affirming care for young people. Read more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/12...
- The holidays may be here but that doesn’t mean we’re slowing down—yesterday I announced a settlement with Mercedes Benz over emissions fraud. I also filed my 39th lawsuit against the Trump Administration, this time to save the CFPB. You can find all of these announcements at ago.vermont.gov
- Great news! Today a federal judge granted a preliminary injunction in our case against the Trump Administration for illegally upending supports for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. The judge barred the federal government from moving forward with their proposed changes…
- …and ordered them to continue processing applications under the terms that existed prior to its unlawful program changes. Vermont is experiencing an acute housing crisis, and this is an initial victory for the Vermonters who rely on these grants for access to stable housing.

- I am pleased to announce that Hyundai and Kia will take corrective action as a result of our multistate settlement, providing a free fix for their customers, as well as pay restitution to customers whose cars were damaged.
- It’s important to me that we protect consumers, the marketplace, and public safety in our communities, and this settlement will do just that. Learn more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/12...
- Time and time again, we have seen the Trump Administration defy Congress in violation of the Constitution, and here we are yet again. Congress created EV Charging Infrastructure programs through bipartisan consensus.
- They will benefit our economy, our transportation infrastructure, and our environment, not to mention improve affordability for consumers. Read more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/12...
- Vermont has an aging population, and we need health care workers and other skilled professionals to fill many of our job openings. While we’re focused on recruiting talented professionals and welcoming new neighbors, President Trump is exacerbating the problems with unlawful and exorbitant fees.
- Learn more about my lawsuit against the Trump Administration over an unlawful fee for H-1B visas, here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/12...
- I’m thrilled to announce that yesterday, a federal court agreed with our argument that ending FEMA’s BRIC program, after Congress funded it, is illegal, and granted a summary judgement in this case.
- This is a win not only for Vermont communities devastated by severe floods, but for every community in this country experiencing the impacts of climate disasters. Read more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/12...
- Consumer Alert: A national $700M settlement with Google has been preliminarily approved and eligible consumers will now begin receiving notices. The settlement will put money back in Vermonters’ pockets, and, importantly, requires Google to make changes to stop the harm to consumers moving forward.

- The Trump Administration is failing the most vulnerable people, leaving states in the impossible position of trying to comply with confusing and incredibly poorly timed SNAP eligibility guidance, all while fearful of massive penalties that could be held against us for errors.
- I am suing because in America, no child should go hungry. Learn more: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/11...
- Vermont is experiencing an acute housing crisis that is pushing many of our neighbors into homelessness and housing insecurity, and rather than working with states like ours to address this crisis, the Trump Administration is unlawfully restricting the use of federal funding for housing support.
- I am suing to preserve this funding stream into Vermont, protect the Vermonters who rely on these grants to access stable housing, and uphold our system of government. Learn more: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/11...
- The Public Service Loan Forgiveness program is not a political tool for the President’s administration to reward organizations that support him while punishing organizations that he dislikes. The Trump Administration lacks the legal authority to take this action.
- I am suing both to protect the integrity of the program as well as to prevent this illegal power-grab. Read more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/11...
- My office has first-hand experience supporting victims of crime in accessing federally-funded programs, and I am suing to protect this funding for all Vermonters who need it, regardless of their immigration status. These programs make entire communities safer and more resilient.

- The Trump Administration is trying to unlawfully reallocate federal homeland security funding based on a state’s willingness to comply with the Administration’s political agenda. But under the Constitution, it is Congress – not the President – who has the power of the purse.
- This reallocation also includes an unlawful attempt at drastically shortening the timeframe during which funds must be spent, effectively setting states on a race against time to use the funds before one year is up. Read more on my most recent lawsuit here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/09...
- Vermonters need and deserve access to reproductive and preventative health care. In a rural state like ours - where medical providers are few and far between - the loss of Medicaid reimbursements for Planned Parenthood will leave Vermonters without access to basic care.
- Yesterday I filed a motion to block the Trump administration from defunding Planned Parenthood and other health centers while our lawsuit proceeds.
- Windham County, please join me this Sunday at 2:00 PM for a Town Hall discussion at Brattleboro Union High School. Along with Senator Nader Hashim and Rep. Emilie Kornheiser, I’ll share updates and answer questions about my work defending democracy and Vermont values. Hope to see you there!
- This school year, I want transgender students and their families to know that we love you, we support you, and we’ll fight for you every single day.
- The President’s use of the National Guard to police DC streets threatens the rule of law — and DC’s Attorney General is fighting to stop it. We stand with DC and @dcattorneygeneral.bsky.social because today it’s the 202, but tomorrow it could be the 802.
- My office has first-hand experience supporting victims of crime in accessing federally-funded programs, which are designed to give victims and survivors of crime greater agency over their own recovery and healing. I am suing to protect this funding for the Vermonters who need it.

- Vermont was proud to join this coalition in standing up for our environment.
- I remain fully committed to protecting Vermonters’ access to reproductive and preventative health care. In a rural state like ours, where medical providers are few and far between, the loss of Medicaid reimbursements for Planned Parenthood will leave Vermonters without access to basic care.
- The Defund Provision is both unlawful and unconstitutional, and I will fight it every step of the way. Read more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/07...
- Social safety net programs are meant to benefit those who need them most and improve the overall health and well-being of entire communities. The Trump administration’s illegal attempts to restrict access to these programs will undoubtedly harm many of our neighbors.
- Learn more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/07...
- We should be doing everything we can to make health care more accessible – not harder and more expensive for millions of Americans. I will fight the President’s attempts to unlawfully roll back coverage for Vermonters, including efforts to take away coverage for gender-affirming care.

- For the past three summers, severe floods have devastated Vermont communities by destroying homes, damaging businesses, and washing out rural roads and bridges. We can expect these disasters to continue – and we must prepare by building more resilient infrastructure to protect our communities.
- Ending FEMA’s BRIC program, after Congress funded it, is not only short-sighted – it’s also illegal. I’m suing to safeguard this program and its funding for the communities who are counting on it. Read more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/07...
- Once again, the President wishes to unconstitutionally undo appropriations made by Congress. I am going to keep fighting for our Constitution, for Vermont schools, and for the future of our country. Read more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/07...
- Vermonters know that environmental justice will make us safer, more resilient, and better equipped to prepare for and respond to climate impacts. We have experienced three back to back summers of flooding, and this will likely continue in the coming decades.
- The Trump administration should be working hand in hand with impacted communities rather than falsely labeling environmental justice as “illegal discrimination.” Read the full guidance we recently created here: ago.vermont.gov/sites/ago/fi...
- Meta’s business model is built around addicting teens and children to their platforms using algorithms and deceptive practices that exploit the vulnerabilities of these youth. I brought a lawsuit against Meta to stop these harms, and now I’m supporting other states in their lawsuits against Meta.
- Nothing is as important as the health and safety of our children, and I’ll never stop fighting to protect them. Read more here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/07...
- In this country, we have a right to privacy when we go to the doctor. The Trump administration’s disregard for this right is not only illegal, it is a violation of the public’s trust.
- I am disappointed that, rather than working to keep American safe and healthy, the Trump Administration is sacrificing our privacy, safety, and health to pursue a ruthless mass-deportation agenda. Read more on my most recent lawsuit here: ago.vermont.gov/blog/2025/07...
